Where Should Your Cervix Be 3 Days Before Period

"The Triumph of Buffalo Bill" ("Pony Express") (1952) Atom Man vs.

"The Triumph of Buffalo Bill" is a movie for me very, very special ... Certainly not a great western (lower production at Paramount in the early fifties) and is a film that struck me c hen saw as a child for the first time, no less than on the big screen, but is special for a simple reason might be absurd: it is the only movie I've been to the cinema at the request of my father. My father was for many years, almost a teenager, my constant companion on countless movie quotations, it was he who took me to those great (or sometimes not so great) rooms full of chairs in which sat impatiently waiting for the defunct lighting to welcome to the magic that gave off that huge white screen background ... At the time of going to the movies, it was always me who decided to watch the movie (usually with action, fantasy, science fiction or adventure, of course), and next to my father I have no doubt lived unforgettable moments in the movies, dreaming while awake for the duration of the film in question, enthralled with their mesmerizing and colorful images, a privilege, so to speak, I could enjoy even when we did not have televisions at home as they enjoyed the four-color ... In short, my relationship (overwhelmingly loving) the film goes back to a very early age, and this was due to the never-ending tolerance of my father everything that I intended to see as valuable and irreplaceable company in the chair next to during those wonderful moments in darkness of the room.

This time, however, was my father who himself decided to see this film in the cinema, and of course it was proposed to take me to see him ... Why did you choose led to it? Certainly, not know. Perhaps in his moment attributed perhaps, with the reflections always logical and extremely simple for children, the fact they just wanted to see, but the truth is that such a decision surprised me, as if it were not for it right now not be writing this post ... It is true that western was a genre that I loved as any child (and I still love), but the truth is that this movie is I would have gone completely unnoticed were it not for the unexpected determination of my father to go to see the movies with him ... It is possible that, given the sheer number of hours spent working Shipyard in Cadiz (Saturday inclusive), may on that occasion, a weekend in safety, decided to spend some time with his son and himself agreed to take me to the cinema to see this movie a very young Charlton Heston, after get up on Sunday at a time of all untimely (because he had just arrived from work) to take the bar eating churros Stop, one of the most famous of Cadiz in the development of this singular delicacy morning ... It is possible that the early-morning binge of churros and subsequent visits to the cinema evil called "Multicines Cadiz, since only consisted of two rooms, to see Buffalo Bill do not match necessarily the same Sunday, but the truth, I like to remember him.

I do not know in other cities in Spain, but in Cadiz, in the late seventies and early eighties, the movie sometimes surprised by reruns of films originally released nearly thirty years ago. Thus, at the age of eight or nine years (oséase, for 1980-81), went to see my parents at the old cinema Avenida nothing less than "Ben-Hur," which is 1959. I remember sitting on that unforgettable rest carry out the project in the mid-movie, and as my father went to the lobby to smoke, together with other viewers ... What times! Who we are has seen and who sees us!

With this deal now spent three quarters of the same ... Interestingly, it is also played by Charlton Heston, as I mentioned above, but it was made seven years earlier. When Heston starred in this movie, it was still a real unknown and the film is nothing more than a nice product series "B" cincuentero West, so many that there was (of course, produced by Paramount, as I said), in Heston embodies that which is perhaps the most famous historical figure known to have forged the legend of the American West ... Buffalo Bill (actually called William Frederick Cody) have been countless films, most of them away from the historical reality of the character (curiously contemporary this movie was another, with fewer resources and media, which starred Clayton Moore in the same paper: "Buffalo Bill in Tomahawk Territory" when one was fired from "The Lone Ranger" and, paradoxically, that Moore is closer to the image Heston left us genuine Cody), and of course, "Triumph of Buffalo Bill" is by no means an exception.

The film, originally called "Pony Express", basically the establishment of such a peculiar and famous mail system (through leading riders correspondence in a relay) in the American West and the vicissitudes of living Bill and his friend and colleague Bill Wild California Hickcok to join the rest of the country through the new method of communication, which provide the news more quickly reach any West Point. However, in California there are certain subversive elements who are not interested in the "Pony Express" reaches that state and propose sabotage, with the ultimate intention that California feel disappointed and abandoned by the Federal Government decides to separate from the Union ... A pilgrim and fragile idea as so many movies are so common in the Western series "B". Moreover, the film plays anachronism constantly with a sharp, focused mainly on the figure of Buffalo Bill, whom we see on the tape as a genuine promoter of the establishment of "Pony Express" along the West and as an adult phase of his life, isolated and the army, when in fact it was a simple rider Cody's "Pony Express" at an early age, even for the army, which could not join until years later to deliver the work email.

But "The Triumph of Buffalo Bill" is really not intended to teach us lessons of history, but simply one in tainment western movie with the typical elements of the genre, and that is why it should be remembered, appreciated or reviled, depending on one's personal criteria. In my case, I have already amply explained in this "post": This classic and forgotten film certainly plays a role in my life, if not essential, it very important, and is, as I said, was the only decided to see for themselves in a cinema that is certainly the best partner one can have as a kid in those crucial years when everything seems surprising and extraordinary, both characteristics of the film, through endless films, is a skilled left ... Those years of enjoyable and valuable parent company keeps my memory as a precious treasure, especially since I can not not be able to relive again, but with lines like these, at least we can not thank the maker of my days, I am sure that those moments on film with him, among other equally or more important, I have served become the person I am now and where you intend to remain, despite my many faults, until the end.
